Another day at the Arboretum

I love to go to the Arboretum and take pictures in the spring! It's just so pretty there when the tulips are in bloom. Ella was cooperative for the most part, but she did finally tell me to put the camera away. I was experimenting and having fun with my new toy though and took over 150 pictures of her. My next challenge is how to get both Ella and the background in focus. Good thing we got these pictures taken on Monday morning because she started running a fever Monday night and it's still 104 on Thursday at bedtime. I'm sure we'll make another trip in a week or two!!

Happy Easter

We had a nice Easter. Ella decorated Easter eggs for the first time. We made a big mess, but she had fun. The three of us went to Easter service, then to brunch and back home for an Easter egg hunt. Ella has really gotten into the egg hunt this year.

Spring Break

We had a great week. I tried to keep Ella busy everyday in hopes that she'd wear herself out! Most days my plan worked but a couple times she decided a nap wasn't necessary. We went to both zoos, two Easter Egg hunts, Arboretum and a few other things this week.

My sister was in OK for a funeral and was able to spend the night with us and hang out for a day. Ella LOVES her "Titi" and was sad to see her leave.

Ft. Worth Zoo

We took Ella to the Ft. Worth Zoo today. She loved it! It started off a little chilly but soon warmed up a little. She even took off her jacket. She knew what almost every animal was. I took her into the bird feeding area and we were both startled at first when a bird almost flew into us. She quickly warmed up to the birds and enjoyed watching Chris and I feed them, but she wasn't daring enough to hold the stick. It was a fun time for all!
