Bath time

Evenings have been a little difficult lately.  Bennett is pretty fussy right around the time I need to get Ella in the bath and ready for bed.  Since Chris has been overseas I'm trying to keep Bennett calm while Ella's in the bath.  He's been a good sport in the Bumbo seat this week.  As you might be able to notice he likes to eat!

July fun times

July has been a busy month for us.  My dad came to visit and then my sister was here for a week.  Ella was getting spoiled with lots of attention.  Now it's really quiet here since daddy left for the Philippines last Thursday.  Thankfully Ella has been a sweet angel since he's been gone!  She does tell me from time to time to stop feeding Bennett but other than that she's very sweet to him and a big helper.  Bennett is quite the chunky monkey!  He was 95+% in weight at one month and I'm pretty sure he'll still be there next week for his two month check-up.  He loves to eat!

Both kids love the pool!  We went to Brooke's in-law's Saturday to swim.  I am so mad I forgot my camera.  Bennett went swimming and loved it!  He even hung out on a raft.  It was soooooo cute.  If I can figure out how to post a picture from my phone I will.  Ella was loving the pool this time.  She was jumping from the edge and didn't want to leave.  Yesterday we went to grandma and pop pop's for more swimming (just Ella this time).  Again, she loved it and wanted Uncle Cody to throw her.  Maybe next year when she can actually swim!

Today my sister and I took Ella and Bennett to the spray park.  Bennett was a little trooper and napped most of the time under a tree.  Thankfully it wasn't hot this morning.  Ella had fun running around and getting close to the water.  She wasn't about to actually run through any water though.  She finally discovered a mushroom looking fountain and had fun with that for a while. 

Swimming at Grandma & Pop Pop's

Saturday afternoon we celebrated Pop Pop's (Chris's dad) birthday. The grandkids had a lot of fun swimming in the pool. Ella swam for a few minutes and seemed to enjoy it but then she decided she was finished. I eventually got her to put her feet in with me. After dinner she went back out and decided to sit on the step in the pool, of course she was already back in dry clothes!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July this year. My dad flew out to meet Bennett and we had some friends over. Ella had a blast playing with her friends. It was hot but that didn't stop them from playing and having fun together!
