Who does Bennett look like?

Bennett has been a little angel this week. He is so sweet. At night he wakes to eat but usually goes right back to sleep. I think at this time a couple years ago we were dealing with nights and days mixed up. Ella was up all night, so this time it's a little easier. Everyone keeps asking who he looks like. It's funny to hear how one person can think he looks like Chris and someone else thinks he looks like me (or at least my family). And then there's the answer that we give, "I don't know!" I honestly don't know who I think he looks like at this point in his little life. I'm posting a picture of Bennett this week (2 weeks old) and a picture of Ella when she was 2 weeks old.

Bennett's name

I've been asked by so many people where the name Bennett came from. I actually heard it back in the fall and mentioned it to Chris. He liked it but we had a few names that we liked and decided to wait until he was born to name him. We found out that Chris's mom had a great-grandmother whose maiden name was Bennett. I had been going through a lot of family history from my grandparents trying to find a family name so when I heard this I was thrilled. The day after he was born his name was almost going to be Oliver John. This was really hard for us but I think we settled on the right name!!

We've had an amazing week so far. Bennett Christopher was born on Monday, June 9th, weighing 8 lbs 15 oz. and was 20 inches long. He definitely weighed more than his big sister! He is such a sweet baby and a really good eater. We're all doing well. Ella is anxiously waiting for mommy, daddy and baby brother to come home tomorrow.

Count down...

We are officially counting down the days until we get to meet baby boy! Hopefully once we decide on a name we'll actually start calling him by his name and not "baby boy". In five days I'll be holding the little darling. These last three weeks have not been fun for me and probably not much for Chris and Ella either. I'm definitely ready to start getting back to normal - starting with my gigantic feet!
