Trip to Colorado

The weekend of Valentines I went to Fort Collins, CO along with three of Chris' sisters to visit the youngest sister, Erin and her family.  There was more snow on the ground in Dallas when I left than in CO.  Pretty crazy!  We had a nice relaxing weekend.  Our niece Parker is just as cute as can be.  She's six months old and sweet, sweet, sweet.

While taking pictures of Parker I realized I had the camera on the wrong setting so I tried again after the sun had set some more.

Not a bad view they have to look at every day.  Beats the heck out of our neighbors' houses.

I have a new blog!

That's right you read that correctly, I have a new blog!  One just wasn't enough to keep up with so I decided to start a second one.  In the past few months I've become an avid reader and follower of other mom blogs.  There are a LOT out there in cyber world.  Crafts, baking, cooking, photography, sewing, mommy-stuff, give-aways, funny ladies, you name it there's a blog for it.  Now that Ella is four turning fourteen she likes to do lots of crafts.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays she doesn't have preschool and she asks me as soon as she gets up what craft we're going to do and I'm like, uhhhhhhh??????  Thanks to many of these mommy blogs I've been inspired to do crafty things with Ella and I'm sure Bennett will join in sooner or later.  The main reason I started this other blog was so that I could document the things we do together but wanted to keep it separate from this one.  There are kid crafts, recipes because I love to bake and maybe one day I can add some photography stuff. :)  Come over and check it out and feel free to become a "Follower".  www.mykindofcrafts.blogspot.com 

Happy Valentines Day

I will be in Colorado visiting Erin and Parker (Craig, too) along with Chris' other three sisters for the weekend.  Since I will miss Valentines Day with the kids and my wonderful hubby I am posting this card I just made in Photoshop.  This is the first time I've ever done something like this!  I didn't  make the card, just figured out how to insert a picture.  Yea for me! :)

Bath fun

Bath time is one time of the day where the kids typically get along (i.e. no hair pulling by 'lil brother).  There are plenty of toys to share and lots of water to splash.  I say the word "bath" and Bennett goes running for the bathroom.  Ella is not as quick to jump in but she does join in the fun.  Here are some pictures from a bath the other night.

Valentine Photo Fun

We all know how much I love taking photos of my two precious kiddos, right?  Well, yesterday we headed over to Watters Creek with a jar full of Valentine M&Ms and happy faces.  The kids are much better at letting me take pictures of them running around having fun than trying to sit still for a moment to pose together.  I just wanted one cute picture of the two of them together for an experiment I was going to try later on the computer.  Nope, wasn't gonna happen.  That's ok.  We had lots of fun!
