Those are the lyrics that came to mind while I was sitting here going through these cute pictures from last night. I hadn't really taken many naked pictures of Bennett and thought I better get some of that cute hiney now! He moves all over now so it's hard to get a good picture on his tummy.

After Bennett went to sleep I went to Ella's room for story time and she was nothing but sweet! She typically doesn't like to have her picture taken but she was all about the camera at bedtime. I don't think she was trying to extend bedtime by any means, she was just being really cute. She was still asleep by her normal 8:00.

When did my baby grow up?

Ella sleeps with the same things every night: Gloria (from Madagascar), three blankets (over the quilt) and she has to sleep ON the Dora pillow - exhausting to travel with!

Daddy's birthday

Chris had a birthday yesterday.  Ella has been telling everyone for a week that daddy was turning three, I will keep the real age a secret :).  Ella made him a surprise...a birthday crown.  He said I was not allowed to post pictures on facebook so I'm putting the picture on the blog!  It's real cute and she worked so hard.  She even cut it out all by herself, well I supervised and guided from time to time but she did a great job!!

Valentine project

I saw a cute Valentine project in Parents magazine that involved cupcakes.  I thought it would be fun since Ella takes after me and loves sweets and loves to bake with me.  It was fun but rather messy!  I decided we should do our project on Friday night after Bennett went to bed.  We had three paper plates with different colored sprinkles.  Ella got down off her chair to go to the bathroom and when she came back as she stepped up she tipped over a plate and sprinkles went everywhere, and I mean everywhere.  She must have said "I'm sorry" 20 times.  I wasn't mad at all.  I just got out the handy Dyson and vacuumed up the mess, but I will be finding sprinkles for years I'm afraid.

Bennett turned 8 months

I'm a little behind in my blogging, but I think that is what happens when the second baby comes.  At least that is my excuse!  I still take lots and lots of pictures though.  I just don't upload them everyday like I used to.  Anyways, Bennett turned 8 months last Monday.  He was sick recently and has been to the doctor a few times so I happen to know his current weight is 23.2 pounds.  He's still growing like a weed!  The boy loves to eat.  He has four teeth, but will soon fill in the fangs with the middle teeth.  I see the bud of at least one and he's been rather fussy lately.  He's still easy going and happy but fussy for him.  He finally rolled over from his tummy back over to his back.  He doesn't do it a lot because he prefers to be sitting up but he does roll over now both ways.  He is also becoming a little mobile.  He kind of wiggles around and reaches for things and then lands on his tummy and moves that way.  He hasn't started the army crawl by any means but he can move a little bit.  He loves to stand up and play peek-a-boo.  I started giving him Baby Mum-Mum's this week.  They are like rice cake wafers and he loves them but now he doesn't want pureed foods so I'm trying to figure out what to feed him.  I'm at a loss as to what comes next.  He likes cheese and turkey and I gave him a bite of scrambled eggs and I'm almost certain that is a big no-no in the allergy world.  Oh-well!

Attack of the geese

I took the kids to the park while Chris was working from home yesterday.  Ella loves to feed the ducks.  We had new visitors yesterday - geese!  The ducks and geese were across the "lake" but came across as soon as they noticed us.  The geese were honking when we arrived.  Ella was quite entertained until they came for food.  They came right out of the water and were so close they could have taken food from her hand had she not ran straight to my leg!  I thought it was funny but I also didn't like how close they were to us.  We enjoyed our new guests.  They watched us while we played at the park too.  I think they thought we'd come back with more food.
