Costume Day

I'm on a roll so I'll post one more tonight!  Last week was the last ballet class but really just picture day with a run thru in costumes.  The girls really enjoyed wearing their costumes.

Bennett's Pirate Bounce Party

Our little boy is turning 3.  Say it isn't so!  Bennett decided he wanted a pirate bounce house party all on his own.  So, we went with it and I booked a party at Pump it Up Jr and went with a pirate theme.  It was small but he had so much fun!  He is still talking about it and I keep reminding him he already had his party; however, his birthday is Thursday and my mom will be here so we'll do a little something then and then we'll celebrate it with family in California this weekend!  The never ending birthday.  So fun being little. :)

Who needs training wheels?

So, Ella has gotten super fast on her bike.  She's been beyond past due of taking her training wheels off.  We finally did it.  We took the bike up to the open field at the school and practiced on the grass.  After a couple falls she was DONE.  She does not like falling, especially when the pedal rubs her skin.  She gave up.  I tried a pep talk but she gave up.  Our weekends have been jam packed with birthday parties so we haven't tried again and it's 100+ outside.  We have to try again!

Field Day

This year I finally was able to volunteer at Field Day at the pre-school.  Our neighbor watched Bennett and then Chris helped, too.  It was fun to watch the kids play and have fun on their last day of school.  Thank goodness the heat wave hadn't hit yet.  I think it was the last day of nice weather.  It's been at least 98 since.  There is a long summer ahead for us considering I'm typing this on June 7!  Ella's class was last to come out.  She and her friends had a great time.

Our little pre-schooler is no more.  Chris said we can hang on to the title pre-schooler for a few more months but our little baby girl is growing up so fast.  Just last night I received an email for the kindergarten ice cream social in August.  My goodness.  I wonder if I'll tear up at that?!?  She had such a wonderful experience at CRCDS.  I couldn't have asked for a better pre-school.

Last soccer game

I'm a tad behind on the blogging.  I'll try and get a little caught up before we leave for vacation.  Ella had a great spring soccer season!  She is quite fast on the field and really makes the effort to score goals.  She doesn't seem to care if she's taking the ball from her teammates or the other team, as long as she is the one scoring.  She definitely has a competitive edge to her.  She will be returning to the Butterflies again in the fall.  She loves her coaches and her friends on her team.  I think her team only lost one game, tied one and won the rest!  They had a great season!!
