Oh no she didn't

This afternoon we were all upstairs playing after pre-school.  Ella was writing some letters (A, E, L, O & U) on the easle and Bennett was on the floor gym mat.  Bennett was ready for a diaper change so we went into his bedroom.  I walked back in and Ella had climbed up and got scissors from my desk and was cutting paper on the easle.  Fine, no big deal.  I turned around for a minute to look up something for Paper Park and I hear, "Momma, I cut my hair."  I darted over to find locks of hair on the floor!  I was in shock and didn't know whether to laugh or get mad.  I ended up catching my breath and having a talk about scissors and safety.  I'm sure just about every little girl cuts her own hair at some time in toddler hood.  Thankfully we got family pictures a few weeks ago!  As I'm documenting this "first" by camera after bath time I notice that she might have been trying to follow one of the latest trends in hair these days by cutting some layers on one side and a slight whisp of bangs in the front.  There is one spot right on front that got real short, but it's actually hidden under some other hair.  I guess things could be worse...
This is the section that gets hidden
Layers are hard to capture on film
nice little whisp
