18 months today

I can hardly believe my baby is already 18 months old today. Where is the time going? Last year he was just learning to sit up which was nice because I wanted to take pictures of him and his sister in front of the Christmas tree, naturally. This year I find myself saying, "No, no Bennett, we don't touch; just look at the tree." How fast they change at this stage. He's still the sweetest, most loving, adorable baby ever. Seriously, ask (most) anyone and they'll agree. Ella will even agree most of the time. He had his check-up today and there was a medical student observing Dr. Brown. She was shocked at how good natured and calm Bennett was while being examined. He just sat there and let Dr. Brown listen to him and didn't even move once or try to grab anything. Sweet boy I tell you.

Let's see, what's new in Bennett's world:
*throws a ball really well
*waves bye and says "bye"
*says "Thank you" in sign language
*pulls Ella's hair
*pushes his chair away from the table and starts feeding Sadie when he's finished eating
*scribbles on paper with a crayon
*separation anxiety has set in
*loves to play golf and will use anything including princess wands as golf clubs
*has been sleeping in a little later in the mornings (he'll be up at 6 a.m. tomorrow)

His love and cheerfulness melt my heart everyday. If I'm in a funk all I have to do is look at his sweet face and he brightens my day. He is pure joy and I can't wait to see what else he has in store for us.

As you can see in these pictures I took earlier today his black eye has healed nicely! It never even phased him.
