Over Memorial Day weekend we celebrated Bennett's second birthday with family and friends. His actual birthday isn't until June 9th but we wanted to have a party for him a little early this year. He didn't seem to mind. :) We rented the
Caboose at
The Village at Allen. There's a play area with play houses and a maze the kids can run through with picnic tables that have umbrellas and there's public restrooms just outside the play area (very handy for toddlers), oh and the Caboose, it's great! It has air conditioning! Just what we needed on the nice and
cool hot weekend we were having. When I booked this party a couple months ago we were having such a beautiful spring I almost rented a park but opted for this because it's different. I'm so glad I did because it's HOT! Since it had gotten so hot so fast I decided to have a craft for the kids inside the caboose so they could take a break and go inside to cool off. Michael's had the foam visors on sale so I got one for everyone and foam stickers so they could decorate them. They decorated them almost immediately and then most everyone wore them while they ran around and played in the play houses. It was really cute. Bennett loves to go there and play and his party was no exception. He had a great time playing with friends and eating cake!
All set up!
He was doing the craft before anyone got there!
Trying to get them to pose together is the hardest job
