This year we had a few Halloween events. I let Ella decide what she’d like to be, of course as she’s very opinionated. She went from Belle to Thumbelina to Sleeping Beauty. We got a wig, tiara, the whole get up. Priceless! Bennett was the cutest spider ever! He was super cute walking down the street with all the spider legs flopping around.
The first event for Ella was a birthday party for her good friend, Jack. He had a costume party with a face painter. Ella and her friend Kate ran straight to the face painter. They looked pretty cute!
She did get to dress up for ballet. The girls got to play games and combined classes but I was too busy chasing Bennett to take pictures. She had a great time. The night before Halloween our neighbors’ had a party for the kids. Ella wouldn’t attempt to Bob for Apples because the apples had skin on them. She only likes to eat them if I take the skin off. She did participate in the Potato Sack race. She did well considering her wig/tiara combo kept sliding down covering her little face. :) Mainly she played with her friends and Bennett watched while getting into stuff.
On Halloween our friends Jacob & Stacey came over with their daughter Lola. Chris makes chili and we have a great time. The kids love playing together and we enjoy hanging out! This year we made sure to feed the kids dinner before we headed out for trick-or-treating.
This year Stacey was extra festive and wanted to dress-up. I’m not sure what got into her but she wanted me to dress-up as well. I told her I’d go as far as cat ears.
After Bennett was asleep and the girls were home the sugar high set in fast! They were wired. It was pretty funny I thought. I mean Halloween only comes once a year so let them have some fun for one night, right? They are going to crash, eventually. These girls ran up and down the entry way so many times I couldn’t keep up and my flash couldn’t either.
