This morning marked a big day for Bennett. He (finally) started Mother's Day Out. Their school up here in the burbs doesn't start kids until they're 18 months old so we had to wait until he was two. Thankfully, for my sanity, he went to a babysitter one day a week last year, but she lives on the other side of town. Now they are both at the same school so only one drop off! He is going two days while Ella goes three days. What am I going to do with myself?!? This morning I knew would be a rough drop off for him. He is definitely more clingy and has separation anxiety. He was fine until we got to the classroom door. His teacher opened the door to let him in and he sat down and started scooting away on his bottom. When I picked him up to walk in (they have to walk themselves in) he just clung to my leg. I just kept patting him on the back and telling him I loved him and would be back to get him in a few hours. He was not happy and crying as he walked in. Ella is just next door so I went and signed her in and then peeked through the window to check on Bennett. He was already playing at a table making friends. That's my boy! I hope he's having a great day. I really hope he takes a nap on his nap mat which he loves! We got it out for movie night and he has been trying to get me to let him watch a movie everyday now. hmmm
We started the morning with breakfast on the "You are Special" plate.
Mister Handsome!
Sweet siblings
Trying to carry his supplies (minus the nap mats)
Now what in the world should I do with my free time on my first free day??? Well, I had envisioned going straight to Envy Nails and getting a pedicure. However, I went to Target and bought these:
Because it looks like this outside:
I'm so tired of my shoes getting soaking wet so I figured it's about time I get some rain boots of my own. If only I had taken my rain coat I would still be out running errands. Since mother nature had other plans for me today I will have to get a pedicure next week because I'm sure it won't be raining at least one of my free days! Two and half hours to go...hmmm...I keep listening for a thud and then remember B's not here!! Maybe I'll go eat lunch now.
Have a great week!
