State Fair '10

Last Sunday we ventured to the State Fair.  This was my mom and Jim's first trip to the fair.  We got there right when the gates opened.  Thank goodness because it was crowded when we left!  The tractors were a hit with the kids!

There's a cute children's farm.  They can walk through the process of feeding animals, milking cows, watering plants, planting seeds, etc.  At the end they earn a "dollar" to spend in the store on a snack.  It's really cute.

Feeding the chickens corn and then he left with one egg.

Milking the cow.

Picking the vegetables from the field.

Taking her stuff to market.

Now it's corny dog time!  Yea for Fletchers!!

Big Tex is right there at the Corny Dog line.  He wasn't as scary to Ella this year.

On the way out we stopped at the petting zoo.  It was way to crowded and way past Bennett's nap.  He was cranky!!

Next year if I go to the fair I think Ella and I might go by ourselves if she has a holiday when Bennett doesn't since they'll be in different school districts.  Or we may skip a year.  I love the fair.  Chris isn't a fan and would probably be happy if he never had to go back.
